Welcome to the tkbrowser project!

This project consists of a package for the Tcl/Tk scripting language. It provides some useful procedures which, when combined with the TkHTML widget, allows the easy and fast construction of simple web browsers, suitable for viewing online webpages, as well as HTML files on the local system. Features

The features that the tkbrowser package adds to the TkHTML widget include:

Automatic image downloading and displaying
Automatic following of HTTP redirects
Support for HTTP forms
Support for http://, file:// and ftp:// (partial) protocols
...

The package is written in 100% Tcl/Tk and should work on most major operating systems, including Windows and most UNIXes. It may also work on the Mac, if the TkHTML widget has been ported there.
